Company Goals
Enabling people through science
Our founder spent his career using data and experimentation to grow software companies in service of profit. Scizu turns those same tools toward improving the lives of the people who actually pay to use it.
How we decide
Our goals drive our strategy
Instead of chasing profit first, every feature and feature change is weighed against these four questions.
1. Does it lose money?
We need to stay viable to keep serving our customers, so features that lose money on their own may not be possible — unless they're part of a group of features that comes out even or ahead.
2. Does it improve your life?
We measure a feature's value in a lot of ways, but the one that matters most is the value it delivers to our paying customers.
3. Does it reach our employees?
The people who build and run Scizu make it great. When a feature turns a profit, we use a weighted system to share it with employees.
4. Does it grow the company?
Re-investing in the company lets us expand into new products and services. It's a real consideration — just never one that outranks the goals above it.
Your data is not for sale
For our paying customers, we will never sell your personal information. Some services do require transferring some of your data — for example, when Scizu acts as an agent on your behalf.
In those cases, we'll explicitly ask you to opt in, explain why the data needs to move, and do our best to still provide a good experience if you'd rather not.
Why we charge instead of selling data →Keep your data safe
No ads, no data brokers, no sneaky upsells — just a service you pay for directly, so our incentives stay lined up with yours.
