Worker Communities
What's a worker community?
A way for coworkers to organize and communicate with each other and with management — and, confidentially and conveniently, consider forming a legal labor union.
How it works
Built for coworkers, not just individuals
One or more employees set up a community and invite coworkers. Once enough people join, the rest of the toolkit unlocks.
Union invitations
Organizers get their own invitation page and a landing page every new member sees — laying out the community's goals, aspirations, and next steps.
Wage comparison
Members can share their wages without disclosing who they are, informing an honest conversation about fair pay across the company.
Voting platform
Vote on matters like a list of demands for a safer workplace, and see where the group stands before taking the next step.
Ready to form a legal union?
A worker community is only a first step toward forming a legal union in the United States. The National Labor Relations Board has the official process, and you can read about your rights as an employee.
When you and your coworkers are ready, you'll fill out form NLRB-502-RC from the National Labor Relations Board website with help from an NLRB Information Officer.
Confidential, at your pace
Talk, compare notes, and vote privately with coworkers before anyone files anything official.
