Enabling people through science

Businesses often use scientific research to improve their processes. The founder of Scizu.com has worked in software companies for his entire career and has worked on hundreds of experiments to improve site performance, get better SEO rankings and improve business outcomes. Unfortunately, these improvements are primarily designed to increase the profitability of the company and not to improve the lives of the software users unless that also improves profitability.

Instead of focusing on the pursuit of profit, Scizu.com would prefer to improve the lives of the people who pay to use our site. This isn't a new idea, but often these companies fall into the trap of greed.

To orient the company properly, every feature and feature change on Scizu.com is considered using the following order of importance:

  • Does it lose money? Scizu.com wants to remain viable as a company to continue serving our customers. So features that lose money may not be possible. Sometimes a money-losing feature can exist as part of a group of features that results in zero or better cost.
  • Does it improve the lives of customers? Scizu.com uses a variety of merits to measure the value of each feature. The most important is value to our paying customers.
  • If profitable, how do we share that profit with employees? Ultimately the worker is the person who makes a product or service great. We use a weighted system to ensure profit-sharing with employees.
  • Lastly, does the company profit from the feature? Profits allow Scizu.com to expand our products and services into new areas. We're excited to provide more and more for our customers, so profitability is a consideration, but not if it detracts from our other goals.

One thing we are definitely not interested in is selling your personal information. We will never sell your personal information. Some services do requirement transferring of some of your personal information, such as when Scizu.com acts as an agent on your behalf. In these cases, we will explicitly ask you to opt in to such transfers, and we will do our best to explain why the data is transferred as well as providing the best service we can if you choose not to transfer your information.
